Portmeirion Sophie 10x8.5 Tagine

Well designed
This is my second tagine. My first one was a different brand and I love tagine cooking, but when I broke that one, I opted for the Portmeirion and I'm glad I did. The base of this tagine is deep with high sides and perfect for containing juices. But the best part is the chimney, which allows me to get a good hold on the top to remove it. It was always a struggle with the previous one because there wasn't much to hold on too and it was always hot--thus the breakage. Tagine cooking would be the same in any tagine, but the Portmeirion's other attributes have made it a great choice for me.

Beautiful.
Even if you don't get around to using it for its own purpose, makes for an eye-catching piece of art.

It can lift the cover with a hot mitt.
My other 2 tagines are very pretty, but when the cover gets hot, I can't lift it due to a bad cover design. This cover has a skinny neck that allows the cover the nestle in your had for a secure lift. Came well packed and undamaged. Arrived very quickly.
