Great quality - high price
It's a lid, so what do you expect? The knob is very high density plastic (feels almost like ceramic). Better plastic than you would normally encounter. The knob rotates easily to let steam out or keep it in. The rest is glass and a steel band as it appears. I guess it an go in the oven and dishwasher, but I mostly use it to watch my frying eggs turn white on top so I know when they are done. It's really good for that.

ReplyDeleteI use enameled cast iron, non-non stick, and small non-stick t-fal on that surface. The decision is more about what I'm cooking rather than optimum pans for the cooking surface.
