Mauviel M'heritage 150s 6100.04 10-Piece Set with Cast Stainless Steel Handle

Elegant and sturdy
You will not be disappointed in the robust, elegant design of this beautiful cookware. The stainless steel handles are sheer perfection and the copper and stainless finish is impeccable. this is some serious kitchen bling!

Fantastic Pots and Pans
We registered for these for our wedding with a lot of hesitation because they were very expensive and didn't have any reviews at the time; however, we are more than thrilled with the quality of them! We have used them a ton, and they are still fabulous! I have been meaning to get on here and write a review for months it just kept slipping my mind! I would definitely suggest these, after all you get what you pay for and although these are pricy, they are the best! :)

Cleaning tip: They come with one cleaner, and I bought another cleaner because I didn't realize it came with one. I have only used the cleaner it came with once, I use King Clean every time I clean them and they are still as shiny and new looking as ever!

Let's put it this way...
...since I am hardly an expert in stuff like this, I researched everything I could find about it and after I gave it to my wife (who knows a LOT about this stuff) for Christmas, she said she'd love me forever!

I'll take her word for it - about both things!

Excellanté 10.50-Quart Stainless Steel Soup Warmer, Black

EXCELLENT
WE ARE SO PARTICULAR ABOUT OUR SOUPS AND KNOWING THEY WILL ALWAYS BE SERVED AT THE PROPER TEMPERATURE IS CRITICAL. THIS WARMER IS ADJUSTABLE, NSF APPROVED AND PERFECT FOR ANY RESTAURANT.

Works PERFECT!!
I received the warmer on time of coarse through Amazon Prime. I filled with a pre-packaged chicken wild rice soup and put it to 12 and it cooked at 190 degrees. The instructions say 175 tops but it reached and held 190 without a problem. It has a dial that is 1-12. 10 held at 165. It did not burn one morsel of soup.
Very easy to clean, NSF rated. It is just a great large capacity soup warmer!

Le Creuset Enameled Steel 1.9 Quart Oolong Tea Kettle, Flame

very stylish
I gave it 4 stars because when pouring the water at the end it drips a little bit but still a very nice kettle

Functional Art
We consider Le Creuset tea kettle a piece of functional art for our stove top. Not only does it look great but it works well. The handle doesn't get hot and it's easy to open and pour.

Gorgeous and functional
It's Le Creuset! What more needs to be said? Beautiful contemporary style, quality materials, audible whistle, perfect size & volume, and I ordered it the ombre orange "Flame" color, which brightens and pops with contrast on my black stove top. Perfect!

Clear 8 oz PET Plastic Jar with White Smooth Lid 6 pk

Simple, Functional, and Food-safe
The six-jar set was exactly as ordered (and as delivered), and were nothing special--therefore the 4 star rating. However, the jars met my expectations of being decent-quality food-safe containers in the size I need, have screw-on lids that are easy to use and will not pop off, and are perfect for storing the spices for which I purchased the jars. I am very happy with both the quality and simplicity of the jars, and will undoubtedly be purchasing more, as it is difficult to find reasonably priced containers for use in a very humid climate.
I encourage anyone who needs simple straight-sided containers to purchase these, especially if you need food-safe containers. I wanted to avoid the typical food storage containers by some big companies because they almost always tend to have slanted sides. I feel the quality of these jars matches that of the expensive ones, but has the added bonus of straight sides and a screw top, which are difficult to find in the name-brand plastic food...

CHEFS 3-Piece Asparagus Steamer

better than most
The problem with most asparagus steamers is that the inner basket allows the veggies to fall out.
This product has a closer nit fence that keeps it in. The aluminum bottom distributes the heat.
One off for price/value because it is about 10% overpriced.

Really fits the bill
I just purchased this steamer and used it for the first time. It really makes fixing asparagus easy. Much better than a regular pot with a steamer insert. I like the fact that the stalks stand upright and don't mash up against the side of a pot. I'm looking forward to using it for corn on the cob as well. It will hold 5-6 ears easily and steamed corn is much better than boiled, and uses less energy that heating a big pot of water. The steamer is very high quality and will make a nice addition to any kitchen.

Should have bought one sooner
This is an excellent addition to any kitchen. We use it for asparagus and artichokes regularly and they come out great. Price is right and works as advertised.

Charcoal Companion Stainless Steel Grill Pro Griddle

Does the job
I picked up this griddle and do burgers on it, seems to cook really well and distribute the heat well. Make sure you have a plan to empty the grease though ievery once and a while because it'll start a fire if you dont :)

STAY AWAY
Stay away from this griddle. It does not distribute heat in the least. You end up with extreme hot spots in the middle where stuff burns instantly, and you can actually put your hand on the edge without burning it (as a sign of how little it spreads heat.) The only positive I can say is that it didnt catch on fire or explode. Worst purchase ever on amazon. Will try to return if can do so after using.

Old Dutch 36-by-19-Inch Oval Pot Rack, Graphite

Does the job
This pot rack is a heavy duty iron pot rack with a large storage capacity. When it arrived, I could barely lift the package by myself. Working together with my father-in-law, we had it assembled and installed in about an hour using a screw driver and pliers (not included). The assembly instructions were clear, so we had no goof-ups. I've got my pot rack mounted over an island that divides my kitchen from my dining room, where it provides a good visual separation of the two areas without blocking communication between them. It also has excellent storage capacity- -it holds all of my cooking pots and frying pans as well as their lids. I keep some of my extra-large bowls in the rack on top.

Since I'm only 5' 2", I get quite annoyed with most kitchen cabinets because they all seem to be too high to be of any use to me. But with this pot rack, the pots all hang down where I can reach them, yet they're still high enough so that my 6' tall husband can work at the island counter...

Quality at an incredible price
I purchased this rack sight unseen with some trepidation. Mine is the 36 x 18 Chrome model and I could not be more impressed. Easy to assemble with only the installation of ceiling anchors being somewhat difficult for the average person. These must be anchored to a beam in order to support the weight.

I have owned other pot racks and shopped extensively in design stores and on the web for similar products and I have to say that there is, in my opinion, nothing better designed, engineered or constructed close to this rack at even double the price.

I recommend that you measure carefully being buying and use a stud finder or other device in order to ensure that you can hang this heavy rack as location will be dictated by the beams running across your ceiling. Hopefully you will find one that runs across and then location will be easy. Otherwise remember beams are located on 16" centres and once you find one the other will be located directly above the second hanging hook of...

Absolutely A Great Rack
After very thorough research I selected this pot rack as the very best & a tremendous value. It looks absolutely great in my kitchen and I was able to empty a large lower double cabinet loaded with pots & pans & lids etc. Which were continually scattered. What a tremendous difference! Everything is right there at eye level. Everyone who sees it, wants to have one. A fairly high cieling is a good idea and measuring beforehand is smart. It can store alot of items in an easy, convenient fashion. It MUST be secured to a good beam or better, a floor joist...you might want a pro to do that if the beams are concealed. My copper rack holds about 30 various pots and pans, and lids, and sizzle platters and everything. Maybe about 150 lbs. And beautifully & functionally. 5 STARS

Stoneline 11" Eco-friendly Stone Coated Non-stick 2pc Frying Pan Set /Glass Lid

Inferior Quality And Horrible Customer Service
After many months of watching the infomercials on these sets, we finally dug into the savings and purchased them. What a mistake! After using them for about a month, the handle snapped off of the medium frying pan. Luckily, nobody was scalded as the pan crashed to the floor. The culprit was defective steel. It was totally crystalized at the handle. Upsetting to say the least, but the real nightmare began when we contacted them. They requested photographs which were promptly sent. Their response was no less than 4 promises of a replacement being "on its way".

After almost an entire year, a supervisor finally proposed sending a replacement BUT ONLY IN A DIFFERENT SIZE. It seems he didn't want to be bothered pulling the correct pan for us. The fact that there were so many broken promises from them over a year, he still didn't see fit to make sure we had the complete set which we paid for.

They do work as the infomercials show. But given the inferior...

Don't trust their warranty
We sent a pan back six months and after calling them twice, we are still awaiting a replacement pan (they keep saying it's on back order.) Very unhappy.

Please Read This Before You Buy -DO NOT BUY!
I have been researching this product. Always check the BBB before you buy anything. Here is the link for this company's BBB profile: [...]. This product has not lasted anyone longer than 8 months, and most are less than that! I don't know about anyone else but I cannot afford to pay $300 for this kind of cookware or $100 per piece every few months because the product does not perform the way it is advertised. Also there are many billing issues and consumers are not being refunded when over charged! Strongly caution!

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Four Star 5-1/2-Inch High Carbon Stainless Steel Boning Knife

Henkels Boning Knife
This knife is an excellently balanced knife capable of taking and holding a sharp edge. (A steel for truing the blade is necessary.) The blade is flexible which allows the user to easily follow the bones and remove the meat. I bone all of my chicken breasts and thighs with this knife and am able to debone a dozen breasts in a short time. The knife's balance makes it tireless to work with while providing enough heft to do the job.

Perfection
I've used this exquisite boning knife for many years, and used it heavily- cutting apart and boning out very many goat carcasses, chickens, cutting up pieces of meat, etc. etc. Since I use it to cut apart large joints I am often pushing it against the bone but in spite of the abuse it keeps its edge like nothing else. I've not had any knife that comes close to this one in performance for these jobs.

It IS rugged. Sharp. The point is enough to poke through membranes. The curve near the tip ideal for boning. The concave curve near the base of the blade helpful when I want extra leverage in getting through a joint, etc. The balance and shape of the handle unbelievably suberb.

If I sound passionate about this knife, I am! A great knife is a lovely thing to someone who uses it regularly and values an excellent tool. All you need to do is pick up one of these Four Star pieces (their 10" chef knife is my other favorite) and you'll know what I mean. It fits in...

Henkel 4-Star Deboning Knife
The Henkle 4-Star boning knife is an excellent and well balanced knife. It has a flexible blade and an extremely agressive, sharp edge. Maintaining its sharpness with a steel is easy.

I have de-boned lamb legs, lamb shoulders, many chickens and prepared spare ribs for smoking with this knife. It has done the job very well and I earnestly recommend it.

Norpro Nonstick Omelet Pan with Removable 3 Egg Poacher

Do not buy!
I have purchased many things on Amazon and this is the only one star I have ever given.

The very first use I cooked on medium high and it produced the worse smell I have ever smelled while cooking. The non stick cooked right off and a three inch chunk peeled off. It made my whole first story smokey and ruined the meal. Needless to say,i won't be using that pan again.

Do not buy this product!

Not a fan
I am pretty handy and consider myself a good cook, but didn't like how the poached eggs turned out. Very hard to use and smells like plastic is burning when I use it.

Norpro Egg Poacher is Super
I have had one of these for several years and like it so much that I bought two more of them, on for my daughter and one for my sister-in-law for Christmas.

It is easy to sue and clean and makes perfect poached eggs!!

Mario Batali Cookware Classic Enamel Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven - Persimmon

not a good value
I really liked the sleek design and color (Chianti, it's a deep red in person) of this Dutch Oven, in comparison to either Le Creuset or Staub. I've had mine for nearly two years at this point, and I've had a long time to come to terms with my buyer's regret.
First off, it weighs substantially more than nearly any other enameled cast iron Dutch Oven in its size that I've ever encountered; Lodge comes close, but the metal of Lodge's is maybe twice as thick. Secondly--and this is the bigger problem--the interior is terribly pitted, and has been since perhaps the first 6-8 months of use. After perhaps a year, it became terribly discolored, which might be fixable with serious cleaner, but I figured that would only make the pitting even worse. The enamel has also chipped in a couple places on the top of the pot and one of the handles. While there's a warranty, I'm not interested in trying again with a second pot; I just can't believe its quality will ever match its price. I'm...

Excellent product
I was looking at Amazon with interest in buying another Mario Batali product as I have loved my 6 quart dutch oven given to me as a gift. I was very surprised to see these negative reviews. I have had mine for 4 years, granted I take good care of it, but it is fantastic, cooks evenly and is not pitted or chipped. Yes it is heavy but contributes to it's excellence as far as I am concerned. The metal top handle is definitely not a negative as is sturdy and attractive. And over all super useful and beautiful pot!

so far I love it
Love the wide bottom for browning. I burnt something in it and it cleaned up beautifully. Greatly appreciate the care instructions - I would not have known not to go higher than medium high for browning. Great bargain on the Chianti.

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Flat Bottom Wok

Good wok
I use this wok on an electric range. I find it works well provided I turn the heat all the way up to high on a big burner. The problem, of course, is electric stoves, not the wok. As far as cooking goes it is great. As long as it is well heated before you start nothing sticks, the bottom heats evenly, and with a little bit of stainless steel polish it stays looking good as new. My one complaint is that a wok really needs a good lid for simmering sauces. This one does not include a lid, and I have not yet found anything that I can use for one.

4 and 1/2 stars...
I think this is like an American Chinese wok, because like one of the reviewer said, it has a small flat bottom. (That's what my parents prefers, because that way it would NOT move around on a stove. Seriously, we brought a bottom ring for our previous traditional Chinese wok, but it still moves around!) So far, this is one of the best wok i seen!

Good: VERY easy to Clean, and easy to use
Good: very high quality metal, super durable and amazing heat transmission for such super thick metal wok.
Good: The height of the wok is perfect for steaming overnight dish (trust me, my dad even go as far as to measure it out himself before purchasing it at our local Macy's store!)

Bad: it's kinda heavy (to me at least, because my parents didn't think so, i guess i just need to practice more on using it!)
Bad: the wok doesn't include a wok cover. (But You should able to find a wok cover in a Chinese grocery store though).

*UPDATE* 7/23/2013...

Great wok
I have been using this 13" inches wok about a year. It is a great product for the price. If anything sticks after cooking; just pour water in it and boil, let the water cool down then clean it. Some people might
think is too big(little bit too big for the standard sink) and too heavy. It is a quality product, I think it will last at least 20 years. Unlike nonstick cookware, stainless steel does not react with the food in high temp. It is good for your health. This wok is best use for cooking Asian vegetables. Remeber to use the bamboo turner. I am still looking for the lid.

Replacement Gasket for Vintage 4 Qt 8 Inch Revere Ware Pressure Cookers

not happy
Did not do the job not happy I it did my hold presser on one side so I can not use the pan

Keeps the old classic going,
I recently acquired a nice Revere pressure cooker at a thrift store that needed only a little clean up and a new seal ring..
This is a well-built item, fits perfectly, I tested it to 15# and it should last a long time.

Old pressure cooker good as new.
I purchased this PC complete with guide for fifty cents at a garage sale 15 or 20 years ago. I cooked, learned to pressure cook, with this old PC. When the seal went out I was devastated. Amazon was the only place I could find a replacement and now I use it almost as much as the new electric PC I received at Christmas.
Thanks Amazon for keeping my old antique (sorta like me!!) going.

CHEFS Deep Lasagna Pan

Cleans easily. Really is a full 4 inches deep.
I like to make a many layered lasagna and the deepest pan I've found was 3.5" deep. This is a full 4" which allows me to make a deep lasagna and have enough room for the sauce to bubble without spilling over the edges.

As it turns out, I still wound up spilling over the edges and I thought it was going to be an agony to clean the pan. Not so. I used a plastic Dobie pad with hot soapy water and the pan came out clean with minimal effort.

At first I thought the fold down handles were going to be a nuisance since it seemed like removing the pan would be more difficult to remove from the oven (actually, it is a bit harder) but the the advantage of the handles folding down for the refrigerator is a big plus.

The handles are spot welded on which is typically indicative of inferior manufacturing but it does make for easier cleaning.

To keep the surface shiny and easy to clean, I only used plastic utensils.

This is the only full 4"...

Exactly what you're looking for
You probably got to this pan by searching "deep lasagna pan" and you're in the right place.

This is a well-made pan of reasonably heavy-guage stainless steel. The handles are solidly attached, and unlike most fold-down handles these leave a gap between pan and handle which makes grabbing them with pot-holders much easier.

Even after seeing the picture and reading the description I was surprised by the scale of this pan. If you want a deeper pan than this for lasagna, you're going to have to go with commercial steam table pans, and I can't see why anyone would bother.

Things to be aware of:

-The sides are straight, so getting the first piece out of the pan will be a challenge.

-You'd better have a bunch of people to feed or really like leftovers!

-The handles attach in a way that makes it tricky to cover with plastic wrap or foil and still carry it by the handles. (I'd subtract 1/4 star since you'll almost always want...

Needed larger pan
This is a wonderful pan. You can make a high, multi layer lasagna. At first I thought it was too beautiful to use, but finally used it and it works excellant. Cleanup is a breeze and lasagna bakes excellant.

KitchenAid Teakettle 2-Quart Gourmet Essentials Porcelain Enamel Kettle , Black

perfect cup of tea
Love the kettle, it's easy to clean, heats water quickly, handle can get hot but not unbearable even my kids use it (sometimes we grab a potholder) and it looks beautiful.
November 2012. This kettle still sits on my cooktop and is used every day. No regrets about this purchase.

Would not buy this one again
ok, it does boil water, but when pouring the water splashes out all over if the pot is almost empty or almost full. The lid can not be opened if the spout top is in the up position and if you like to cheat and fill from the spout vs. removing the top, it will not work on this kettle. I might expect these items from a $15 kettle, but not from one this price.

Bizzare, inefficient design
It boils water - that's about the only thing it does right 100%. Otherwise, the design is puzzling at best: grip handle is not completely encased in plastic and gets hot through the metal part - be mindful else you'd burn yourself. The little lid pops out with vengeance, too tight and requires too much force to open. The spout mechanism can mandate the use of both hands at times, because it's clumsy and inefficient. The trigger should have been built within the grip and actuated like a gun trigger, with one hand. Lastly, the grip handle cannot be folded to the side, like a proper kettle's handle should - perhaps to prevent injuries, however, it could have been designed with a built-in indexing spring so the folding action requires some force, rather than be absent completely. A simple design akin to Copco Zingo's, if properly implemented with stronger materials and better craftsmanship, would blow this kettle right out of the water. Look around for better deals.

Rome's #1305 Panini Press Cooker, Cast Iron with Steel and Wood Handles

great paninis
This is a cast iron panini press. Which means it is heavy, especially with the long handles. Because it is iron , you need to cure it before using it the first time, so that it will not rust over time. This means you unscrew the handles, place oil in side the surface of the press and leave it in the oven for an hour so that the oil seals the surface. This is a one-time thing. Once you start using it, you should avoid using water to clean it, - use a dry sponge or paper towels. One useful feature is that you can unhook the two surfaces, and place each one on a burner to preheat the press before using to make the paninis even faster.

The paninis come out outstanding. I use it on a gas burner at home, an electric burner would not work. I have not tried it in the grill or outside, but reckon it would work as well as in the gas burners.

I have used the Foreman-type panini makers that you plug in, put the paninis are infinitely better with this product. I would use the...

Nice item but handle's a little flimsy.
I loved the idea of getting a cast iron panini cooker because I wanted to avoid the nonstick panini grills out there. It is a very heavy piece, so if the user has problems with hand/wrist strength, this may not be the item for you. The unit is made to be used on the stove (electric or gas), cooking the panini on one side and then flipping over to the other. The two cast iron plates come completely apart at the hinge, and you then have each plate attached to a metal rod with a wooden handle, making clean up easier. However, if the handle problem is fixed, I believe that this would be a really nice item to have in the kitchen.

I gave this only 4 stars because when I attempted to unscrew the metal rods from the plates in order to place the plates in the oven to "season" them as instructed, one wooden handle started spinning around the metal rod, and therefore I could not unscrew it from that plate. Looks like the handles are poorly attached to the metal, and should be...

Great sandwich maker
I bought this as a gift for my mom and dad. They used it and said that it made a great panini sandwich. They will definitely be making many more!
