Mauviel M'heritage 150s 6100.04 10-Piece Set with Cast Stainless Steel Handle

Elegant and sturdy
You will not be disappointed in the robust, elegant design of this beautiful cookware. The stainless steel handles are sheer perfection and the copper and stainless finish is impeccable. this is some serious kitchen bling!

Fantastic Pots and Pans
We registered for these for our wedding with a lot of hesitation because they were very expensive and didn't have any reviews at the time; however, we are more than thrilled with the quality of them! We have used them a ton, and they are still fabulous! I have been meaning to get on here and write a review for months it just kept slipping my mind! I would definitely suggest these, after all you get what you pay for and although these are pricy, they are the best! :)

Cleaning tip: They come with one cleaner, and I bought another cleaner because I didn't realize it came with one. I have only used the cleaner it came with once, I use King Clean every time I clean them and they are still as shiny and new looking as ever!

Let's put it this way...
...since I am hardly an expert in stuff like this, I researched everything I could find about it and after I gave it to my wife (who knows a LOT about this stuff) for Christmas, she said she'd love me forever!

I'll take her word for it - about both things!

Excellanté 10.50-Quart Stainless Steel Soup Warmer, Black

EXCELLENT
WE ARE SO PARTICULAR ABOUT OUR SOUPS AND KNOWING THEY WILL ALWAYS BE SERVED AT THE PROPER TEMPERATURE IS CRITICAL. THIS WARMER IS ADJUSTABLE, NSF APPROVED AND PERFECT FOR ANY RESTAURANT.

Works PERFECT!!
I received the warmer on time of coarse through Amazon Prime. I filled with a pre-packaged chicken wild rice soup and put it to 12 and it cooked at 190 degrees. The instructions say 175 tops but it reached and held 190 without a problem. It has a dial that is 1-12. 10 held at 165. It did not burn one morsel of soup.
Very easy to clean, NSF rated. It is just a great large capacity soup warmer!

Le Creuset Enameled Steel 1.9 Quart Oolong Tea Kettle, Flame

very stylish
I gave it 4 stars because when pouring the water at the end it drips a little bit but still a very nice kettle

Functional Art
We consider Le Creuset tea kettle a piece of functional art for our stove top. Not only does it look great but it works well. The handle doesn't get hot and it's easy to open and pour.

Gorgeous and functional
It's Le Creuset! What more needs to be said? Beautiful contemporary style, quality materials, audible whistle, perfect size & volume, and I ordered it the ombre orange "Flame" color, which brightens and pops with contrast on my black stove top. Perfect!

Clear 8 oz PET Plastic Jar with White Smooth Lid 6 pk

Simple, Functional, and Food-safe
The six-jar set was exactly as ordered (and as delivered), and were nothing special--therefore the 4 star rating. However, the jars met my expectations of being decent-quality food-safe containers in the size I need, have screw-on lids that are easy to use and will not pop off, and are perfect for storing the spices for which I purchased the jars. I am very happy with both the quality and simplicity of the jars, and will undoubtedly be purchasing more, as it is difficult to find reasonably priced containers for use in a very humid climate.
I encourage anyone who needs simple straight-sided containers to purchase these, especially if you need food-safe containers. I wanted to avoid the typical food storage containers by some big companies because they almost always tend to have slanted sides. I feel the quality of these jars matches that of the expensive ones, but has the added bonus of straight sides and a screw top, which are difficult to find in the name-brand plastic food...

CHEFS 3-Piece Asparagus Steamer

better than most
The problem with most asparagus steamers is that the inner basket allows the veggies to fall out.
This product has a closer nit fence that keeps it in. The aluminum bottom distributes the heat.
One off for price/value because it is about 10% overpriced.

Really fits the bill
I just purchased this steamer and used it for the first time. It really makes fixing asparagus easy. Much better than a regular pot with a steamer insert. I like the fact that the stalks stand upright and don't mash up against the side of a pot. I'm looking forward to using it for corn on the cob as well. It will hold 5-6 ears easily and steamed corn is much better than boiled, and uses less energy that heating a big pot of water. The steamer is very high quality and will make a nice addition to any kitchen.

Should have bought one sooner
This is an excellent addition to any kitchen. We use it for asparagus and artichokes regularly and they come out great. Price is right and works as advertised.

Charcoal Companion Stainless Steel Grill Pro Griddle

Does the job
I picked up this griddle and do burgers on it, seems to cook really well and distribute the heat well. Make sure you have a plan to empty the grease though ievery once and a while because it'll start a fire if you dont :)

STAY AWAY
Stay away from this griddle. It does not distribute heat in the least. You end up with extreme hot spots in the middle where stuff burns instantly, and you can actually put your hand on the edge without burning it (as a sign of how little it spreads heat.) The only positive I can say is that it didnt catch on fire or explode. Worst purchase ever on amazon. Will try to return if can do so after using.

Old Dutch 36-by-19-Inch Oval Pot Rack, Graphite

Does the job
This pot rack is a heavy duty iron pot rack with a large storage capacity. When it arrived, I could barely lift the package by myself. Working together with my father-in-law, we had it assembled and installed in about an hour using a screw driver and pliers (not included). The assembly instructions were clear, so we had no goof-ups. I've got my pot rack mounted over an island that divides my kitchen from my dining room, where it provides a good visual separation of the two areas without blocking communication between them. It also has excellent storage capacity- -it holds all of my cooking pots and frying pans as well as their lids. I keep some of my extra-large bowls in the rack on top.

Since I'm only 5' 2", I get quite annoyed with most kitchen cabinets because they all seem to be too high to be of any use to me. But with this pot rack, the pots all hang down where I can reach them, yet they're still high enough so that my 6' tall husband can work at the island counter...

Quality at an incredible price
I purchased this rack sight unseen with some trepidation. Mine is the 36 x 18 Chrome model and I could not be more impressed. Easy to assemble with only the installation of ceiling anchors being somewhat difficult for the average person. These must be anchored to a beam in order to support the weight.

I have owned other pot racks and shopped extensively in design stores and on the web for similar products and I have to say that there is, in my opinion, nothing better designed, engineered or constructed close to this rack at even double the price.

I recommend that you measure carefully being buying and use a stud finder or other device in order to ensure that you can hang this heavy rack as location will be dictated by the beams running across your ceiling. Hopefully you will find one that runs across and then location will be easy. Otherwise remember beams are located on 16" centres and once you find one the other will be located directly above the second hanging hook of...

Absolutely A Great Rack
After very thorough research I selected this pot rack as the very best & a tremendous value. It looks absolutely great in my kitchen and I was able to empty a large lower double cabinet loaded with pots & pans & lids etc. Which were continually scattered. What a tremendous difference! Everything is right there at eye level. Everyone who sees it, wants to have one. A fairly high cieling is a good idea and measuring beforehand is smart. It can store alot of items in an easy, convenient fashion. It MUST be secured to a good beam or better, a floor joist...you might want a pro to do that if the beams are concealed. My copper rack holds about 30 various pots and pans, and lids, and sizzle platters and everything. Maybe about 150 lbs. And beautifully & functionally. 5 STARS

Stoneline 11" Eco-friendly Stone Coated Non-stick 2pc Frying Pan Set /Glass Lid

Inferior Quality And Horrible Customer Service
After many months of watching the infomercials on these sets, we finally dug into the savings and purchased them. What a mistake! After using them for about a month, the handle snapped off of the medium frying pan. Luckily, nobody was scalded as the pan crashed to the floor. The culprit was defective steel. It was totally crystalized at the handle. Upsetting to say the least, but the real nightmare began when we contacted them. They requested photographs which were promptly sent. Their response was no less than 4 promises of a replacement being "on its way".

After almost an entire year, a supervisor finally proposed sending a replacement BUT ONLY IN A DIFFERENT SIZE. It seems he didn't want to be bothered pulling the correct pan for us. The fact that there were so many broken promises from them over a year, he still didn't see fit to make sure we had the complete set which we paid for.

They do work as the infomercials show. But given the inferior...

Don't trust their warranty
We sent a pan back six months and after calling them twice, we are still awaiting a replacement pan (they keep saying it's on back order.) Very unhappy.

Please Read This Before You Buy -DO NOT BUY!
I have been researching this product. Always check the BBB before you buy anything. Here is the link for this company's BBB profile: [...]. This product has not lasted anyone longer than 8 months, and most are less than that! I don't know about anyone else but I cannot afford to pay $300 for this kind of cookware or $100 per piece every few months because the product does not perform the way it is advertised. Also there are many billing issues and consumers are not being refunded when over charged! Strongly caution!

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Four Star 5-1/2-Inch High Carbon Stainless Steel Boning Knife

Henkels Boning Knife
This knife is an excellently balanced knife capable of taking and holding a sharp edge. (A steel for truing the blade is necessary.) The blade is flexible which allows the user to easily follow the bones and remove the meat. I bone all of my chicken breasts and thighs with this knife and am able to debone a dozen breasts in a short time. The knife's balance makes it tireless to work with while providing enough heft to do the job.

Perfection
I've used this exquisite boning knife for many years, and used it heavily- cutting apart and boning out very many goat carcasses, chickens, cutting up pieces of meat, etc. etc. Since I use it to cut apart large joints I am often pushing it against the bone but in spite of the abuse it keeps its edge like nothing else. I've not had any knife that comes close to this one in performance for these jobs.

It IS rugged. Sharp. The point is enough to poke through membranes. The curve near the tip ideal for boning. The concave curve near the base of the blade helpful when I want extra leverage in getting through a joint, etc. The balance and shape of the handle unbelievably suberb.

If I sound passionate about this knife, I am! A great knife is a lovely thing to someone who uses it regularly and values an excellent tool. All you need to do is pick up one of these Four Star pieces (their 10" chef knife is my other favorite) and you'll know what I mean. It fits in...

Henkel 4-Star Deboning Knife
The Henkle 4-Star boning knife is an excellent and well balanced knife. It has a flexible blade and an extremely agressive, sharp edge. Maintaining its sharpness with a steel is easy.

I have de-boned lamb legs, lamb shoulders, many chickens and prepared spare ribs for smoking with this knife. It has done the job very well and I earnestly recommend it.

Norpro Nonstick Omelet Pan with Removable 3 Egg Poacher

Do not buy!
I have purchased many things on Amazon and this is the only one star I have ever given.

The very first use I cooked on medium high and it produced the worse smell I have ever smelled while cooking. The non stick cooked right off and a three inch chunk peeled off. It made my whole first story smokey and ruined the meal. Needless to say,i won't be using that pan again.

Do not buy this product!

Not a fan
I am pretty handy and consider myself a good cook, but didn't like how the poached eggs turned out. Very hard to use and smells like plastic is burning when I use it.

Norpro Egg Poacher is Super
I have had one of these for several years and like it so much that I bought two more of them, on for my daughter and one for my sister-in-law for Christmas.

It is easy to sue and clean and makes perfect poached eggs!!

Mario Batali Cookware Classic Enamel Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven - Persimmon

not a good value
I really liked the sleek design and color (Chianti, it's a deep red in person) of this Dutch Oven, in comparison to either Le Creuset or Staub. I've had mine for nearly two years at this point, and I've had a long time to come to terms with my buyer's regret.
First off, it weighs substantially more than nearly any other enameled cast iron Dutch Oven in its size that I've ever encountered; Lodge comes close, but the metal of Lodge's is maybe twice as thick. Secondly--and this is the bigger problem--the interior is terribly pitted, and has been since perhaps the first 6-8 months of use. After perhaps a year, it became terribly discolored, which might be fixable with serious cleaner, but I figured that would only make the pitting even worse. The enamel has also chipped in a couple places on the top of the pot and one of the handles. While there's a warranty, I'm not interested in trying again with a second pot; I just can't believe its quality will ever match its price. I'm...

Excellent product
I was looking at Amazon with interest in buying another Mario Batali product as I have loved my 6 quart dutch oven given to me as a gift. I was very surprised to see these negative reviews. I have had mine for 4 years, granted I take good care of it, but it is fantastic, cooks evenly and is not pitted or chipped. Yes it is heavy but contributes to it's excellence as far as I am concerned. The metal top handle is definitely not a negative as is sturdy and attractive. And over all super useful and beautiful pot!

so far I love it
Love the wide bottom for browning. I burnt something in it and it cleaned up beautifully. Greatly appreciate the care instructions - I would not have known not to go higher than medium high for browning. Great bargain on the Chianti.

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Flat Bottom Wok

Good wok
I use this wok on an electric range. I find it works well provided I turn the heat all the way up to high on a big burner. The problem, of course, is electric stoves, not the wok. As far as cooking goes it is great. As long as it is well heated before you start nothing sticks, the bottom heats evenly, and with a little bit of stainless steel polish it stays looking good as new. My one complaint is that a wok really needs a good lid for simmering sauces. This one does not include a lid, and I have not yet found anything that I can use for one.

4 and 1/2 stars...
I think this is like an American Chinese wok, because like one of the reviewer said, it has a small flat bottom. (That's what my parents prefers, because that way it would NOT move around on a stove. Seriously, we brought a bottom ring for our previous traditional Chinese wok, but it still moves around!) So far, this is one of the best wok i seen!

Good: VERY easy to Clean, and easy to use
Good: very high quality metal, super durable and amazing heat transmission for such super thick metal wok.
Good: The height of the wok is perfect for steaming overnight dish (trust me, my dad even go as far as to measure it out himself before purchasing it at our local Macy's store!)

Bad: it's kinda heavy (to me at least, because my parents didn't think so, i guess i just need to practice more on using it!)
Bad: the wok doesn't include a wok cover. (But You should able to find a wok cover in a Chinese grocery store though).

*UPDATE* 7/23/2013...

Great wok
I have been using this 13" inches wok about a year. It is a great product for the price. If anything sticks after cooking; just pour water in it and boil, let the water cool down then clean it. Some people might
think is too big(little bit too big for the standard sink) and too heavy. It is a quality product, I think it will last at least 20 years. Unlike nonstick cookware, stainless steel does not react with the food in high temp. It is good for your health. This wok is best use for cooking Asian vegetables. Remeber to use the bamboo turner. I am still looking for the lid.

Replacement Gasket for Vintage 4 Qt 8 Inch Revere Ware Pressure Cookers

not happy
Did not do the job not happy I it did my hold presser on one side so I can not use the pan

Keeps the old classic going,
I recently acquired a nice Revere pressure cooker at a thrift store that needed only a little clean up and a new seal ring..
This is a well-built item, fits perfectly, I tested it to 15# and it should last a long time.

Old pressure cooker good as new.
I purchased this PC complete with guide for fifty cents at a garage sale 15 or 20 years ago. I cooked, learned to pressure cook, with this old PC. When the seal went out I was devastated. Amazon was the only place I could find a replacement and now I use it almost as much as the new electric PC I received at Christmas.
Thanks Amazon for keeping my old antique (sorta like me!!) going.

CHEFS Deep Lasagna Pan

Cleans easily. Really is a full 4 inches deep.
I like to make a many layered lasagna and the deepest pan I've found was 3.5" deep. This is a full 4" which allows me to make a deep lasagna and have enough room for the sauce to bubble without spilling over the edges.

As it turns out, I still wound up spilling over the edges and I thought it was going to be an agony to clean the pan. Not so. I used a plastic Dobie pad with hot soapy water and the pan came out clean with minimal effort.

At first I thought the fold down handles were going to be a nuisance since it seemed like removing the pan would be more difficult to remove from the oven (actually, it is a bit harder) but the the advantage of the handles folding down for the refrigerator is a big plus.

The handles are spot welded on which is typically indicative of inferior manufacturing but it does make for easier cleaning.

To keep the surface shiny and easy to clean, I only used plastic utensils.

This is the only full 4"...

Exactly what you're looking for
You probably got to this pan by searching "deep lasagna pan" and you're in the right place.

This is a well-made pan of reasonably heavy-guage stainless steel. The handles are solidly attached, and unlike most fold-down handles these leave a gap between pan and handle which makes grabbing them with pot-holders much easier.

Even after seeing the picture and reading the description I was surprised by the scale of this pan. If you want a deeper pan than this for lasagna, you're going to have to go with commercial steam table pans, and I can't see why anyone would bother.

Things to be aware of:

-The sides are straight, so getting the first piece out of the pan will be a challenge.

-You'd better have a bunch of people to feed or really like leftovers!

-The handles attach in a way that makes it tricky to cover with plastic wrap or foil and still carry it by the handles. (I'd subtract 1/4 star since you'll almost always want...

Needed larger pan
This is a wonderful pan. You can make a high, multi layer lasagna. At first I thought it was too beautiful to use, but finally used it and it works excellant. Cleanup is a breeze and lasagna bakes excellant.

KitchenAid Teakettle 2-Quart Gourmet Essentials Porcelain Enamel Kettle , Black

perfect cup of tea
Love the kettle, it's easy to clean, heats water quickly, handle can get hot but not unbearable even my kids use it (sometimes we grab a potholder) and it looks beautiful.
November 2012. This kettle still sits on my cooktop and is used every day. No regrets about this purchase.

Would not buy this one again
ok, it does boil water, but when pouring the water splashes out all over if the pot is almost empty or almost full. The lid can not be opened if the spout top is in the up position and if you like to cheat and fill from the spout vs. removing the top, it will not work on this kettle. I might expect these items from a $15 kettle, but not from one this price.

Bizzare, inefficient design
It boils water - that's about the only thing it does right 100%. Otherwise, the design is puzzling at best: grip handle is not completely encased in plastic and gets hot through the metal part - be mindful else you'd burn yourself. The little lid pops out with vengeance, too tight and requires too much force to open. The spout mechanism can mandate the use of both hands at times, because it's clumsy and inefficient. The trigger should have been built within the grip and actuated like a gun trigger, with one hand. Lastly, the grip handle cannot be folded to the side, like a proper kettle's handle should - perhaps to prevent injuries, however, it could have been designed with a built-in indexing spring so the folding action requires some force, rather than be absent completely. A simple design akin to Copco Zingo's, if properly implemented with stronger materials and better craftsmanship, would blow this kettle right out of the water. Look around for better deals.

Rome's #1305 Panini Press Cooker, Cast Iron with Steel and Wood Handles

great paninis
This is a cast iron panini press. Which means it is heavy, especially with the long handles. Because it is iron , you need to cure it before using it the first time, so that it will not rust over time. This means you unscrew the handles, place oil in side the surface of the press and leave it in the oven for an hour so that the oil seals the surface. This is a one-time thing. Once you start using it, you should avoid using water to clean it, - use a dry sponge or paper towels. One useful feature is that you can unhook the two surfaces, and place each one on a burner to preheat the press before using to make the paninis even faster.

The paninis come out outstanding. I use it on a gas burner at home, an electric burner would not work. I have not tried it in the grill or outside, but reckon it would work as well as in the gas burners.

I have used the Foreman-type panini makers that you plug in, put the paninis are infinitely better with this product. I would use the...

Nice item but handle's a little flimsy.
I loved the idea of getting a cast iron panini cooker because I wanted to avoid the nonstick panini grills out there. It is a very heavy piece, so if the user has problems with hand/wrist strength, this may not be the item for you. The unit is made to be used on the stove (electric or gas), cooking the panini on one side and then flipping over to the other. The two cast iron plates come completely apart at the hinge, and you then have each plate attached to a metal rod with a wooden handle, making clean up easier. However, if the handle problem is fixed, I believe that this would be a really nice item to have in the kitchen.

I gave this only 4 stars because when I attempted to unscrew the metal rods from the plates in order to place the plates in the oven to "season" them as instructed, one wooden handle started spinning around the metal rod, and therefore I could not unscrew it from that plate. Looks like the handles are poorly attached to the metal, and should be...

Great sandwich maker
I bought this as a gift for my mom and dad. They used it and said that it made a great panini sandwich. They will definitely be making many more!

Rachael Ray Hard Anodized Nonstick Patty Pal Set 12-Inch Round Griddle with Patty Spatula, Orange

Great product
This is another one of Rachel Ray's excellent products. Well worth the money! Easy to use and clean up afterward.

amazing quality for this griddle
i've had this pan for two years and use it whenever i need to char tomatoes or anaheim chiles or cook a burger. after using it for so long, the top still looks new and still cleans up like a dream. even if i cook on the surface twice without wiping, the clean up is never a hassle. another thing i love is that there is no smoking when using the pan for a good while. sometimes the pans i have used in the past would smoke a bit, but with this one, i have never had that problem even after using it on a lower flame for over 2 hours. the handle stays cool to the touch and i could not ask for a better grill pan. with the addition of the spatula, it is a great convenience for any use whether it be for bacon, pancakes, veggies, fruit, or whatever your grilling need may be. only thing is that the packaging is so tight on the top of the pan that it leaves a weird mark where the cardboard once rested once you remove it. HOWEVER, after cooking on it a couple times and washing it, it is no longer...

Good product
I've had this for about a month now and have used it about four times. The design makes it easy to cook with, and it's easy to clean.

Char-Broil Big Easy Smoker Roaster Grill Cast Iron Griddle

Not as advertised.
I'm giving it three stars, because it is a well made item, however not as advertised. This item is advertised to fit on the BigEasy Smoker/Roaster, however it is for the standard size BigEasy. I ended up using it on the top of my grill plate, like a pan, so it wasn't a total loss. I did submit my comments to Amazon, when I received an email to rate the packaging, but have not heard back. I shop Amazon all the time, and this is the first time we have had an issue. The Smoker/Roaster is one of the best!

couldnt of asked for more !!!
i cant say enough what a great grill this is its heavy duty and use it as a heat diffuser for my stock pot i looked long and hard and was so happy when i found this i cant say enoygh good things about it

Great BBQ
I think this is the best Cooker I have ever owned. I have cooked Steaks, Prime Rib, Turkey, Chicken and Fish. Everything comes out without being burnt and you don't have to worry about flare ups from the fat or skin catching on fire. You can even use the smoking function while BBQing to add a little flavor. Prime Rib and turkey cook faster and don't get dried out. This is worth the money and a good buy.

Starfrit 12 inch Light Cast Iron Stir Fry Pan

Good Alternative to Stainless Steel and Anodized Aluminum
Based on the good reviews on Amazon, I picked up the 12 inch stir fry pan and I just gave it its first test run making curry.

In general this is an excellent pan, it's a good weight, meats brown and vegetables saute quickly, it cleans easily, and it is very responsive (i.e. it heats and cools quickly as you adjust the burner). So it makes a very good alternative to a stainless steel or anodized aluminum skillet or saute pan for everyday cooking.

That being said, it does not completely replace a standard cast iron skillet because it is so responsive...if anything, this pan heats and cools a wee bit too fast. Traditional cast iron heats and cools slowly because of its mass, making it very good for certain types of cooking that need the temperature to hold steady like deep searing meat, stir frying vegetables, shallow and deep frying, and braising.

I also wonder if the ceramic surface will hold up. As anyone who cooks on terra cotta or stoneware knows,...

Good product BUT...
The pan itself works great - the non-stickiness quite good (although you do have to use some oil with it).
For the first time in ages I don't have to soak and scrub the eggs off the pan, which after years of hassle with LeCreuset pans feel borderline miraculous.

HOWEVER, my biggest problem with this product is that the picture shows a different pan altogether - the stirfry pan, and not the regular fry pan, which is more shallow and does not have the wok-like shape that the picture suggests. For me it was a huge disappointment (especially since apparently amazon does not carry the stirfy model at all, at least at the time of my writing it).

Plus, the main reason for my buying this pan was it's supposed non-toxicity. Call me crazy, but when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
I truly do hope that the non-stick coating is 100% safe as they claim, but still, I have my doubts.

That being said, the pan does work great. I'd give it...

This pan is dandy
I picked up the 11-inch version of this pan because the old cast iron pan (one of the really heavy ones) I had used was reclaimed recently by my mother after a long term loan. I think having a cast iron pan around is essential, but I have to admit, that super heavy model was somewhat of a pain to us. Which is why I wanted a more versatile one, and one that wasn't as tough on the wrists. This pan fit that bill perfectly. It has the heft and strength of character you'd want in cast iron, but more maneuverability. The stay cool handle is nice, too, when you're cooking on the stove. Last night though I was making a savory bread pudding in here, and started it on the stove, and then moved it into the oven. Luckily, I remembered at the last second before pulling it out of the oven that stay-cool or not, the handle was going to be hot after being in the oven. So, be careful in that situation, which will come up because of the pan's ability to go from stovetop to oven easily. That, plus the...

Emile Henry 11 by 8 by 2-Inch Rectangular Dish, Raspberry

Pretty and good size for smaller families
This is a pretty and very well-made sturdy baking dish. I got it to make smaller sized lasagna, and it is great for that, as well as, obviously, anything else that a standard 9x13 dish would be too big for. The red is on the pinkish side, and I had hoped for more of a true red, but if you're looking for a dish that is slightly more rose, this would be the one.

Great color
I love the color, weight and size of the dish, but the bottom of the dish is rather scratchy. I am concerned that it may scratch table tops if someone slides it across the surface.

Style Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Base Pressure Cooker Size: 6.3 quarts

Great product
Great product. I have had it several years. Very heavy duty. High quality stainless steel still holds its mirror finish. I would definitely buy this product again. I love the pressure regulator and the two different pressure settings.

The Best Pressure Cooker on Earth
I purchased the Tramontina 6L HD pressure cooker as a replacement for one from another manufacturer (the lid had become warped). I just cannot say enough good things about the Tramontina cooker, which received the top rating from Good housekeeping in a head-to-head test of range-top cookers. This model is very well designed and fabricated, using 18/10 stainless throughout (except for the multi-layer baseplate and the handles). The locking and other safety features are state of the marketplace, including the easy-to-clean pressure regulator valve assembly. But the real proof of this cooker's superiority is in the using; the pot is quick to heat to pressure and extremely easy to control. (My previous cooker required some fiddling with the stove to maintain pressure; this cooker is set-and-forget simple to use.) Cleanup is a breeze and everything I've cooked has come out just as expected--which is to say, perfect! To top it off, the Tramontina is very reasonably priced. In summary, if...

Tramontina Pressure Cooker
Outstanding value for the price! The dual pressure settings are very useful for cooking a wide range of items from vegetables to pulses.

I love this stainless steel pan
I love to use this stainless steel pan

Good German quality Stainless pan
Not much to say really. A straight forward SS pan. tough problems can be cleaned with a good
metal Brillo pad cleaner. Since I am single I don't like kitchen chores. So I let it soak in the
sink for a few hours before putting it in the

Tramontina Gourmet Ceramica 01 Deluxe Porcelain Enamel Metallic Black 11 in Stir-Fry

Excellent!
My Calphalon non-stick pan was about to kick the proverbial bucket so I have been doing a bit of research on a replacement for it. I decided on this one. I rushed home and put it to use immediately. It is fabulous. It really is non-stick but without the Teflon or other bad for your health coating. Since I just got it, I will be back to update my review in a couple months to let you guys know how it is performing.

UPDATED REVIEW: Well, I've been using this pan for a little over 2 months now and it is still going strong. Looks brand new and it is still performing wonderfully! Nothing sticks, I can even make omelettes with cheese in it and still just wipe it off to clean it. I liked it so much I went back and ordered the whole set and I am sure glad I did. Fabulous product!

Good deep wok-like pan
I like the size, but the one drawback is that the handle is heavier than the pan and can be unbalanced on my stove burner.

Scanpan Classic Double-Burner Grill Griddle

Grease free grilling
Scanpan's double burner grill griddle far exceeded my expectations and is now my favorite way to cook meat and fish. It's quick, easy, and siphons off excess fat. Plus the teflon-free non-stick properties make it easy to clean. I put it in the dishwasher.

disappointing: chips and gunk
I've had this pan for a few years and have used it a lot for grilling and then broiling. I never used metal with it, and I never put it in the dishwasher. Despite Scanpan's claims I treated it like a fragile nonstick pan. After a few months of use -- two times a week a least -- it developed patches of gunk in the ridges that simply could not be scrubbed off (with bristle brush or nylon scrubber). It got uglier and uglier. After a year I noticed that the nonstick coating began to chip at the tops of the ridges. Again, I never used metal. I finally gave up and put it in the dishwasher to give it a good cleaning, but this only seemed to discolor it and exacerbate the chipping. Now, when I use it (and I still use it sometimes), I find there's a graphite-like film on the bottom that gets on my hands. So this thing seems to be disintegrating when it should have been indestructible given the price. Maybe I should have kept it out of the broiler. I guess I could test Scanpan's no-fault...

Love this Grill
You can't go wrong with this grill. Cooks evenly and very fast. Really does not stick. Easy to clean. I grill veggies (string beans, asparagus, eggplant, squash, zucchini), fish, burgers, chicken, steaks, shrimp...etc. It is perfection. I use it a few times a week and I love it.

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Special-Value 10-Inch Everyday Pan with Glass Lid

Everyday, Everything Pan
I purchased this pan because of the tempting sale price. I have found that I reach for it again and again. It is a great size for two people, for preparing most everything. Very convenient. Good heating........easy cleanup.

Great pan, but I wish the handles stayed cool longer
This 10-inch pan is a very nice size for a small family. It's nice not to have to fit yet another long handle into my pan cabinet. The stainless cleans up easily, and is dishwasher safe. The tri-ply technology (aluminum inside, going up the sides) really does seem to help. I've found this pan better than the non-stick coating pans for not sticking, as long as you (1) let food warm to room temperature for 10 to 20 minutes or by warming in water, and (2) pre-heat the pan according to the manufacturor's directions. My only complaint is that the handles get hot very quickly, and they are small enough that pot-holders are awkward. Good for frying and baking a small roast. You'll want a traditional frying pan with long handle to complement this pan.

Better than expected.
In response to the review that stated this pan is too small for one - that is simply not the case. This pan is actually much deeper and larger than I was expecting! It can easily hold 3 or 4 medium sized chicken breasts with vegetables in the same pan. It's crafted very well, and the lid doesn't jiggle at all. I LOVE this piece, I can see myself using it several times a day!

De Buyer Blue Steel French Crepe Pan 20 cm

Fantastic for purpose
This pan makes the absolute best 1-egg omelets and crepes out of any other pan I have ever used. The low skirt makes flipping easy. A few things to remember when using this pan; 1-Heat well before use, coat with fat. You want to heat it for abut 5 minutes a little less then medium (on electric) before coating with butter. If the butter melts quick without browning, the pan is properly preheated. Spread the fat and add the well beat eggs or crepe batter. Swirl to spread evenly. PRACTICE FLIPPING. every chance you get. Two things will make you look like a total kitchen stud, one is a perfect souffle, the other is flipping a crepe/omelet. Its all in the wrist.
2- Treat this pan like cast iron. Those cast iron aficionados know what I mean. Never use soap. Dry immediately. Oil after dried. Everything in your life needs maintenance, your car, your pet, your house, your cookware is no different. With proper care, this is just as non-stick as Teflon, only this wont kill your parakeet and...

Le Souk Ceramique Mini Serving Tagines, Set of 4, Sauvage Design

Perfect for essential condiments
These are absolutely perfect as salt cellars or table condiments. They are three inches across and three inches tall, and hold a sufficient amount of condiments for large meals or over a week for households of one or two.

The are is exquisite - my only wish is a set in clear glaze to match my tangine. However, I am not complaining because this allows me to set out salt,, sumac, cumin and ras el hanout as condiments for meals.

For larger gatherings these are wonderful as salt cellars, which I prefer to shakers. The only condiment I do not serve in these is pepper, which I like freshly ground.

These are supposed to be dishwasher safe and I do not doubt that claim. However, I strongly recommend hand washing these. They are small to the point of being tiny and would get tossed around inside a dishwasher unless there was a special basket just for them.

One parting note: I love the exotic touch these add to my table decor - and they always attract...

About what I expected.
They are very cute and will serve a multitude of purposes. I'm happy I got them, but wished they were just a smidge bigger.

Nice for decoration
I ordered these to use as decoration with my North African decor! I like them, the design is nice and the colors are rich.

Ceramic Marble Coated Cast Aluminium Non Stick Square Grill Pan Skillet 28cm(11 inches)

Love my new ceramic marble coated grill pan
I had been looking for quite some time for a square griddle pan. My existing cookware was Teflon and I just don't want to use that type any more. I have been gradually replacing them with ceramic cookware and that's what I wanted in my new griddle. But, whoa...are they ever expensive! The cheapest I could find was around $50-60 and even that was steep for me. When I came across information on this Ceramic Marble coated grill pan I wasn't too sure about it. I wanted my pan to be at least 11" so I could fix 4 pieces of bread at a time, which this one is. I liked that. This pan has the raised grills on the bottom and I thought I wanted it flat and mine did NOT have the high sides. So, this was going to be a change for me. Since I have now been using it, I just LOVE IT. All my concerns are gone. I now like the raised bottom and the higher sides and it's the perfect size. I use it for grilled cheese, chicken, stir fry...just about anything I need a larger skillet for. And I like the...

Defective but seller made right
The item came with a warped top, but upon contact with the seller, they made it right by shipping me a brand new replacement all at no extra costs to me. Excellent customer service! Would do business with this company again. The broiler is of moderate weight with an enameled finish. It worked fine the first time I used it but like any broiler pan, it was a bit of a pain to clean even though it has a no-stick finish. Anyone that uses a broiler pan can attest to that fact and learns to accept it or just not use your broiler at all. Product itself, though, is good enough to get the job done which is what counts, and the company has excellent follow-up with their customers.

Bodum Chambord Enameled 37cm 14-1/2-Inch Cast Iron Wok with Glass Lid, Red

Bodum Chambord Enameled Cast Iron Wok
I purchased a cookbook - the Steamy Kitchen Cookbook by Jaden Hair. In this book she reviews the various types of woks and how to select the correct design for your stove. She highly recommended a cast iron wok - and when I was looking through Amazon's options - this wok stood out because it is not only functional, but the enameled outside, makes it a stunning piece of cookware. I've never cooked with cast iron and found that this wok is perfect for the Asian cooking I am learning. Heat distribution is even. The lid actually works for steaming and there is a rack that can be used to keep the food warm, while cooking other items. The wok is very heavy - just be aware of that fact - and you will love your new wok.

Great wok!
I cook Chinese food everyday so wok is my most important cookware. Had purchase many nonstick wok through the year but always end up buying different wok the next time because the nonstick surface either peel or scratch later. I decided to give this one a try. I just love it! It is very heavy so it's kind of hard to wash but it balance good when I stir fry, I don't need to hold the handle as I cook or pour the food in the plate, and it works very good for stir fry. I'm not good with word in English, but I can say this is the BEST wok I've ever own.

Best wok I ever had - especially on electric
I've had this (or maybe an earlier version) for around 10 years(?), and it's fantastic. It's solid, very heavy (doesn't move even with vigorous use on a smoothtop), cleans up well (avoid soap!), even looks nice. The mass of cast iron is a big win when stir-frying; the temp won't drop as much when new food is added. The flat bottom works great with electric ranges/smoothtops, and also with induction.

Cirulon Infinite 11-Inch Open Skillet

Simply Great, Affordable, Home Cookware - Highly Recommended!
We decided on the Cirulon Infinite cookware after looking at a lot of other brands. The quality and versatility makes this affordable (a relative term, I know) line of cookware a great value. After 6 months of heavy use, we are more than pleased with the durability and performance.

* Very Thick Bottoms - Allows for even heating of cooking surface

* Great Nonstick Surface - Really nonstick, no issues at all - DO NOT use nonstick sprays or "heavy oils" as these will ruin the nonstick properties (read the instructions)!

* Requires Less Oils - We were able to cut way back on the amount of cooking oils we use

* Durable

* Oven Safe

* Dishwasher Safe

*Important* Follow the manufactures instructions and you will have great results.

Highly Recommended!

11 inch. Too small on the bottom
I love the Infinite Circulon line of cookware. I own the big set. I wanted something that would hold more than the 10 inch saute pan that came with the big set, so I order the 11 inch skillet. It is actually SMALLER on the bottom than the 10 inch saute pan. I think its going to hold less total volume and be easier to spill from. If you have the big set you don't need this skillet unless you really want the sloped sides instead of the straight up and down sides of the 10 inch saute pan. So my real frustration isn't so much with this skillet, which is an excellent skillet, but in the inability to tell what size a skillet really is. Returning the thing as heavy as it is will cost me too much to bother with. (Note: I ordered it from Cooking.com where they went so far as to call it 11.75 in., even though Circulon calls it 11 in.)

LOVE IT !!!!! Threw out all my cheapo pans, although I do have a nice set of Kitchen Aid All clad... but I like this pan to use daily! No stick!!! Hoorah! :)

FlavorStone 11" Blue Sapphire Essential Cookware Set

Still Like These Pans
I just ordered this cookware, after seeing an infomercial, and I learned to throw away my former silverstone cookware once it becomes scratched. So far, I like it fine. It looks and feels nice and durable, yet is light-weight (as opposed to my iron cookware favorites, which cook great but are heavy to lift). This is a better "non-stick" than the traditional non-stick software. You do have to "season" it before first use, which is easy. Also, you are warned to use it ONLY on medium to low heat (not high heat). This limitation may prove to be annoying when I want the skillet really hot. But "fried" eggs really do not stick. I haven't tried "frying" other things yet. I will update my review if time alters my assessment. By the way, I put down about 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil, put my egg in the skillet. Then, when half done, I pour in about a 1/4 cup of water and cover. The steam cooks the top half of the egg perfectly, so I have a fried egg with the white hard and the yellow...

Excellent
I think this cookware is the greatest. Cleans up easily just as advertised and cooks great even browning meats evenly. What was really great was frying an egg it did not stick to the pan at all but I did have to spray the turner because it did stick to it.. Kudo's for this cookware!!!!!

the perfect set
I love the Flavor Stone 11" Blue Sapphire Essential Cookware Set and the receipe book. It's worth the price.Makes cooking easer and faster.

Bamboo Steamer Basket 10.5 In.

the simplest and oldest streamer is the best
This is better than any other steamer you can buy. The bamboo absorbs the moisture unlike plastic and stainless steel appliances which results in superior steaming. I can't believe that I used a rival plastic steamer all these years after using this item. Sure it doesn't have a shut off timer and all the bells and whistles of the modern units, but my stove has a timer and thats all I need. Plastic leaching can't be healthy for you anyway.

Scanpan Professional Fry Pans: 12.50"

really happy with it
Right now this is my only pan (I just moved across the country), and it's really perfect for cooking everything. I'm really happy with how evenly it cooks, and the non-stick quality of the pan -- it's amazing how much less oil/butter I need for meats and omelets. It's also really easy to clean because nothing sticks -- only the area around the bolts ever need more than a gentle scrub. I also feel good about it being a greener option. The non-stick surface will scratch if it comes in contact with metal, as with any non stick pan. Overall, really happy.

The best pan I've used
I purchased this pan about 3 months ago and have to say it's the only pan I want to use. The only drawback for me is the sides are to low if I'm trying to sweat onions or peppers they kinda jump out of the pan. I've used the pan to make everything from fried eggs to perogies. Clean up is so easy a couple of swipes of a soapy sponge, rinse and you're ready to go again.

Danesco Stainless Steel Double Walled Butter Box

poor quality
I ordered this butter dish after breaking several glass ones. I thought the stainless steel would be durable and care free. As soon as I opened the packaging, I was quite disappointed. It was very cheaply made, and definitely not worth the price. It also was made in China, something I wish I had known before ordering it. Returning it was a nightmare too, even though I followed all the instructions on the vendor's website. It took a month, but I FINALLY received my replacement item, although I ended up paying way too much for it after having to pay the postage to send the first one back. I don't recommend this product.

Wonderful product!!!!!
This was the best purchase I have made in a long time. We have always kept our butter out on the counter so it would be soft and ready to use. This container keeps the butter at a perfect consistency. The double wall helps keep it cool enough to keep the contents solid. The only thing I wish I could change is where it is made. I highly recommend this product.

Wolfgang Puck Stainless Steel Cookware Set - 18 Pc

they work fine
I am not sure why the other reviews are complaining about this set. I have had the set for over a year and am very happy with it. Why waste your money at williams sanoma for ridiculously over-priced all clad cookware? This set is basically the generic version of the all clads, and the stainless steel is fine. I have never heard of butter turning steel black or rusting it, and "everything sticks"? Use some oil! Many of the complaints in reviews I have read are a result of user error.

These are decently heavy and have a nice thick bottom. The lips on the sauce pans allow for easy pouring. The lids are glass, so you can see inside while cooking. My friend is a professional chef and uses the same wolfgang puck cafe set in his own home, except his is the older set with the cheaper handles. The handles on this set are a drastic improvement and stay cool on the range.

My only complaint would be the rivets that hold the handle to the pot. They are not stainless and have...

Not the best
My wife and I bought Wolfgang Puck's Bistro series a few years ago and were very impressed. So impressed that we bought a smaller Bistro Elite set to round out our cookware inventory.

The Bistro series were made out of true 18/10 stainless steel and one piece, tri-ply bottom, blanks. They were also fairly heavy gauge steel.

Recently she bought this set for a house we are renting in FL. After reading the box I wasn't sure but for $100.00 I figured we could try them.

These are what he calls the Cafe series. They are not 18/10 stainless and will probably corrode without diligent care. They are a much thinner guage of metal. My biggest concern was the bottoms. They are not an integral part of the piece but tack welded on to the finished pot. Also the aluminum disk inside has been reduced to a scant 4mm.

After using them for a month I will say they perform better than expected. They do heat up quickly and evenly so cooking with them is a pleasant...

Not as great as my dad's American made Emeril-ware but still darn nice
When I first read reviews for this product I thought I would never own it. I pictured the set being just plan junk. My wife and I were not in the market for replacing our old Lynn's stainless steal set until we came upon them in one of the retail stores here in Reno. I picked them up and found myself just plan surprised with how heavy duty they seemed. I decided to buy the 10 qt stock, the 8 qt stock, the 6 qt stock, a 10 inch skillet and the 1.5, 2 and 3 qt sauce pans. After using them for a month I now have purchased a full set, including wok, two mini casserole pans and a Pizza serving plate. I really love this cookware.

I would say while it does not compare to my fathers American Made Emeril-ware set it is spot on when comparing it to the Emeril-ware now made in China. It is put together very well and the only problem I have is finding a good spot to store all the glass lids. The pots, pans and skillets I have hanging on the wall off of a pot rack but the lids...

KitchenAid Teakettle 2-Quart Porcelain Enamel on Steel Globe Kettle,Turquoise

Best Kettle for me...
Why I think it's the best choice after trying a couple of the more expensive models like All-clad Stainless:

1. Perfect size, not too big (maybe not good for people who make tea for 3 or more people at a time).
2. Perfect weight. Not too heavy since it has a plastic handle and not made of thick stainless. Handle doesn't get hot.
3. Porcelain is better than stainless because I think stainless leaves more of a metallic taste infused into the tea, especially those made in China which is almost all of them. This makes the best tasting tea. However after a month or so I found a few specks of rust develop. They stayed tiny though after even a few months. Iron is also a necessary mineral.
4. Well built.
5. Stainless top and rim, so it won't chip porcelain when putting the top on, or taking off.
6. Lever/trigger for nozzle lid has a nice feel and weight to it and works well.
7. Easy to clean.
8. Nice color.

A few negative points:...

Lovely teapot but too soon to comment on long term durability
This is a very basic teapot. Fluid flows out nicely when full; however, it tends to drip when there is very little water left in the canister because of the way the spout is angled. That isn't a major flaw as long as you are boiling more than approximately 1.5 cups of water. The aqua/turquoise color of the pot is lovely. We will have to wait and see if this pot lasts longer than my previous teapot which was stainless steel that rusted after a few weeks of use. While I hope the enamel coating will protect this teapot, I've only had it for a little over a week.

Cute but not a fan - Red
It may be a little persnickety to complain about a tea kettle, but what are reviews for but to examine minutia of our purchases and I was pretty disappointed by this kettle. My main complaint is that, especially when it is still hot, it splatters and spits and gets water everywhere. It is very difficult to get a small, even pour and since we make Melita/pour-over coffee every morning that is it's main function for us. But it is also difficult not to make a mess when making tea with the narrow neck of our thermos. It also does not have a mechanism to keep the whistle raised off of the spout if you choose, so it keeps whistling a little after being turned off which can be quite annoying early in the morning! And lastly I was really hoping the red would match my red KitchenAid mixer since they are the same brand but it is much darker. All that being said - two stars because it does boil water! And to those who complain of the handle getting hot be sure not to turn the burner higher than...
